About us

Comfortable calmness behind century old stone walls. When we came driving on the gravel road for the first time and saw the farm´s yellow houses in the green surroundings, we knew that we had found a real gem. There was a relaxing and almost addictive feeling that we wanted to share with others. That is why you can rent Qverrestad and with all your senses enjoy, the buildings and the garden, relaxing rooms and long baths, a calming view and serene sunsets.

Our concept

Qverrestad is situated in the middle of Österlen, where the sky is high and the view is open. As a guest you rent the entire farm, for a weekend, a week or longer. Regardless of whom you bring with you – family, friends or colleagues – a calm and comfortable environment awaits you without any interference. There are nine comfortable and individually decorated double rooms at Qverrestad, each with its own bathroom (most of which have bathtubs). There is a dining room, a lounge, a library, a conservatory, a sauna, a pool and many patios where you and your friends can relax and socialize. In short; feel right at home. In short; a place to feel right at home. Our concept means that you will be completely undisturbed and on your own. But if you want you can of course add on services like catering, food delivery, extra cleaning and much more. Please contact us and we will tend to your every need.

Wedding

Fill Qverrestad with love and friends! Maybe for a small intimate wedding with the possibility to invite up to 28 guests in our beautiful orangerie. Ceremony in the garden or a classical church wedding of the larger variety somewhere in Österlen (the closest church is just 500 meters from the farm). However you wish to shape this day of love you will find an abundance of inspiration and contacts regarding everything from food and music to fireworks in the BröllopÖsterlen network. The next day, the very first morning as newlyweds, you will wake up to the serenity at Qverrestad with an open view over the plains.

Pool

Slow strokes in the moonlight or a cheerful play in the summer sun. The heated pool measures 10×3 meters and is a natural magnet for both small and big guests during the months of summer. Right next to it is an out door shower and the entire pool area is of course secluded and safely fenced.

Orangerie

High ceilings, free view and sun-warmed brick floor. The orangerie frames the pool area from the south and has big windows towards the surrounding landscape. Furnished with a long table and comfortable chairs it can hold up to 28 dinner guests when the summer evening feels a bit cool.

Kitchen

Lot’s of space for both professionals and hobby chefs. The kitchen is situated in the center of the house and is professionally equipped with a large gas-stove, two ovens and a pro dishwasher (fancy having the dishes done in 3 minutes?). Would you rather spend time with your guests than cook we will gladly help you book a professional chef or catering.

Herb Garden

Butterflies circling close to the tiny purple flowers of the Thyme plants. Here in the herb garden that is situated in the big garden north of the house, you will also find rosemary, oregano, parsley and other herbs. Feel free to pick what you need for your cooking, or just come here and feel the fragrances.

Library

How about coffee in the library? Even though chances are that you will find a good book here, we cannot guarantee that you will read a lot because guests have been known to take a nap here. We take that as a good sign that they feel at home.

Stoned courtyard

Qverrestad is built in the fashion of a classic Scania farm. This means that the structures surround a protected courtyard where the sands of time has given the pavement a soft rounded surface. The courtyard faces south and here, among the roses and lavender, it is a treat to sit down and have breakfast gazing out on the landscape.

Surroundings

Galleries, farmer’s markets, beaches, cafes and restaurants. There is an unbeatable mix of nature and culture in Österlen and you can easily reach most of it thanks to the central location of Qverrestad. Should you suddenly get a metropolitan longing, just take the train to Copenhagen. You can walk to the train station in Lunnarp in just eight minutes. Some local favorites: Daniel Berlin Krog (tavern), Tjörnedala Konsthall (art gallery), Olof Viktors kafé och bageri (cafe and bakery), Tomelilla Golfklubb (golf club), Sandhammaren beach and Skillinge Teater (theater). Train to Copenhagen

Should you suddenly get a metropolitan longing, just take the train to Copenhagen. You can walk to the train station in Lunnarp in just eight minutes.
